Professor C. Ryan Quinn
Head Coach, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
C. Ryan Quinn is regarded by many as the best Submission Grappler in Queens. A seasoned competitor and coach, Professor Quinn continues to regularly compete in international level events and has taught in over a dozen countries across the globe.
Professor Quinn received his black belt under charismatic MMA legend Renzo Gracie, and continues his training under the world renown Ivy-League professor turned Jiu-Jitsu coach John Danaher. A well rounded student, he also holds a brown belt in Judo and continues his study of Freestyle & Folkstyle wrestling under Olympian Brandon Escobar.
As a competitor, he has represented the United States in the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championships at purple belt, won the IBJJF New York International Open Gi & No-Gi at brown belt, is 4 time NAGA Champion in the Expert Division, and is the reigning Rise Invitational 185lb Champion at the black belt level.
As a coach, Professor Quinn has a unique approach which presents Jiu-Jitsu as a thinking man's game - combining clear, simple instruction with broad universal concepts, and heavily relying on effective but fun games to build essential skills.
Professor Jon Calestine
Coach, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
An EBI Champion, Jon Calestine is undoubtedly one of the best grapplers on the planet.
Professor Jon is a Daisuke Yamaji (Renzo Gracie lineage) black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and protege of Jiu-Jitsu phenom Eddie "Wolverine" Cummings.
Calestine specializes in No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu. After winning countless regional submission only tournaments across the country, Jon stepped onto the world stage and went unbeaten to win the elite 16 man Eddie Bravo Invitational. He followed this up by besting the 2018 IBJJF No-Gi World Champion in a superfight at Kasai Pro.
Because he competes at only 135 pounds, Jon relies on an original, clever, technique based approach to the art.
Coach Sebastian Berti
Head Coach, Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Holding a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu with over a decade of experience in the art, Coach Sebastian is a Professional Jiu-Jitsu Competitor and Coach.
An Olympian in Freestyle Wrestling, Brandon Escobar is the single most accomplished wrestler teaching in Queens.
Wrestling at only 125 lbs, and competing on the highest levels in Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman, Coach "Esco" has a uniquely tactical approach to the art.
Esco continues his training at ITC, currently possessing a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and competes in Mixed Martial Arts, having earned a championship belt in Triton Fighting.
